Things to consider such as low hanging power lines, driveways and concrete trucks do not fair well together. In other words, what path does a 80,000lbs truck take to get to the project site? Concrete pumps add cost (avg $800 per job) but can be a great solution for those hard to reach places.
Terrain
Is your project site flat, slightly sloped, a hillside, or a cliffhanger? Guessing the fall on your land is very difficult. A wrong guess, even just by a few inches, could cost you plenty in extra gravel and concrete, too much gravel and concrete and you will have an expensive mess on your hands. A monolithic slab can be poured efficiently as long as the fall of the terrain is less than 20 inches. Monolithic slabs cost less to build than a typical footer/block type foundations. Survey, Planning & Zoning
Size
Size definitely matters when choosing your garage. You would be amazed how many bids we see, from competitors, where proposed garages were not large enough to house/store what they were intended for. This is an easily avoidable situation. We are passionate about this side of our business. We will offer you years of valuable experience that will help you build your garage to offer years of service, ultimately saving you from costly mistakes. The height of the garage door is often over-looked. Some cities have height restrictions for your garage. Finding out these type of restrictions before you build can save money.

Insulation: What is R-Value?
Here is what it means to you & I:
The higher the R-Value the better insulated your doors & walls will be when insulation properly installed. This can be very important if your building is a heated & cooled, especially when living space is a factor. Many of our customers will add gym and office spaces inside the structure. Typically these rooms require insulation. For our post-frame construction customers Middle Tennessee Garage and Barn highly recommends insulating your steel roof with the "Double-Bubble" insulation to prevent condensation.
