Pricing
The price of your new garage will basically depend on three factors.
Building Site
If your building site is relatively flat this will decrease the cost of the garage. The average slab height will be determined by the elevation at each corner of the garage. Higher slab heights require more gravel, concrete and labor. In some situations excavation is required to make the site level. This can add additional expense to the garage as well.
Style
First of all, garages come in many styles. The exterior of a garage has alot to do with price.
A block garage is usually the least expensive. Vinyl siding is also inexpensive because of it's price and ease of installation. Wood siding will come in at the middle of the price range. Wood/Hardi-Board is more expensive than vinyl siding and is more labor intensive to install. Brick is usually the most expensive, but elegant, exterior. Brick is virtually maintenance free compared to other exteriors.
The interior of a garage will affect the overall price as well. Some garages are left unfinished while others are fully finished. If living space is included in the garage this will raise the cost of the garage as well.
Size
Size in building terms is measured in square feet. The cost per square foot is relative to finished or unfinished space. A "no frills" garage will obviously be cheaper per square foot compared to a garage that is more complex.
To give you a rough idea of the cost of your garage we can build a basic garage with vinyl siding in the low $20's per square foot and a more complex brick garage with electricity for around $40 per square foot.
Some of our customers also like the idea of finishing parts of the garage themselves to save money. We welcome that and can do as much or as little of the work as you need us to.
